1) Expert Witness Report – Motor Vehicle Collision Case (Plaintiff)
I was retained to provide expert opinion on a 53-year-old woman involved in a 2016 MVC who sustained a liver laceration and later developed a small bowel obstruction requiring surgery.
After reviewing the records, I concluded the MVC caused mesenteric injury and small bowel herniation leading to the obstruction. While she had prior gastric bypass surgery, the MVC was the primary cause of her complications.
2) Expert Witness Report – Medical-Legal Review (Defendant)
I was retained to review care provided by a gastroenterologist for a 68-year-old man with gastrointestinal symptoms in January 2023. The patient was diagnosed with prostatitis, treated with antibiotics, and later found deceased.
Autopsy showed an abscess, peritonitis, and a small GIST with sepsis as the cause of death. The gastroenterologist’s evaluation and treatment were appropriate and within the standard of care, and no earlier intervention would have changed the outcome.
3) Expert Witness Report – Workplace Discrimination (Plaintiff)
Retained as an expert to assess a case of alleged workplace discrimination involving a patient with chronic liver disease. Responsibilities included medical record review, patient interview, and deposition.
